The Women in HVACR (WHVACR) held their 13th Annual Conference in conjunction with Comfortech 2016 on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA. Themed “Networking, Growth Through Connectivity”, the event featured Ruth King and Marny Lifshen as guest speakers

Ruth King has over 25 years of experience in the HVACR industry and has worked with contractors, distributors, and manufacturers to help grow their companies and become more profitable. A founding member of WHVACR, Ruth described how important networking was in getting the organization started and the integral part it plays in continuing to expand the membership.

Marny Lifshen speaks about building a personal brand

Marny Lifshen is an author, speaker and marketing communications consultant with more than 25 years of experience. She presented topics discussed in her book “Reflect Your Success!” which provides guidelines to building a personal brand. A strong personal branding strategy allows you to network more easily and to connect with more people (and have them connect with you). “Networking is not just passing out business cards at a Chamber of Commerce happy hour.
